Creating a project
Every site on Seal Static lives in a project. A project contains your files, forms, redirects and domain settings.
Creating a project
From the dashboard, click Create new project. A project is created automatically with a unique subdomain (e.g. bright-forest-a3.sealstaticpages.com).
You can also create a project by dropping files on the homepage; that creates a project for you automatically.
Project settings
From the project edit page you can:
- Rename your project
- Set a custom subdomain; replace the auto-generated one with something memorable
- Upload files; drag and drop new files to your project
- Add a custom domain; use your own domain name
- Manage forms; see and create forms for capturing submissions
- Set up redirects; manage URL redirect rules
- View your API key; for programmatic uploads
- Delete the project; removes everything permanently
Project URL
Every project gets a URL in the format <subdomain>.sealstaticpages.com. You can customise this with a custom subdomain or a custom domain.
